HostGator CNAME and A Records

CNAME Record

To update your CNAME Record on HostGator:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Domains section, click Zone Editor.
  3. Locate the domain name you need to edit by searching for your domain in the field provided.
  4. Click Manage.
  5. At the top of the list, click +Add Record.
  6. Under Type, select CNAME, and enter the following details:
    • Name: www
    • CNAME: s.multiscreensite.com

A Records

To update your A Records on HostGator:

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. In the Domains section, click Zone Editor.
  3. Locate the domain name you need to edit by searching for your domain in the field provided.
  4. Click Manage.
  5. Next to any existing A Records in the list, click Delete.
  6. At the top of the list, click +Add Record.
  7. Under Type, select A.
  8. Enter the following details, and click Add Record.
    • Name: Your Domain (for example, example.com)
    • Record: 35.172.94.1
  9. Repeat step 6-7 to add a second A Record with the following details, and click Add Record.
    • Name: Your Domain (for example, example.com)
    • Record: 100.24.208.97
